If you're looking for a taste of Hong Kong in Northern Virginia, Miu Kee is the place to be. With a dedication to culinary authenticity and a welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant offers a culinary haven for Cantonese food enthusiasts.

I've been going here since the late 90s with my family. Our go-to order is the wonton noodle soup with vegetable & a pound of roast pork. I decided to switch it up this time and get the roasted duck noodle soup. What I like about their noodle soup with both the flavorful broth and chewy egg noodles. Don't worry, the chili and jalapeno was added to my liking, but it comes without

I feel like this place is a whole in the wall. I've been here since I was a kid, multiple times and I was very popular back then. Now it's kind of being forgotten. There are 3 dishes that I like to order here and it's always so savory. Inside definitely does need a little love and revamp but it's nostalgic. It has a very traditional style with lots of seat for families to eat together.

The customer service is good. The food is your typical Chinese food. It's really good! It reminds me of my childhood. And the store is quiet. Definitely will be back!!

I came here last week and we enjoyed our food. It was a little salty, but nothing white rice can't fix. I would definitely give them another shot. We had congee, dry beef chow foon and fried garlic chicken.

Went here with friends and it was slow dining but that helped with service. We ordered beef chow fun, garlic watercress, minced beef congee, seafood hotpot, fried shrimp dish (forget the name) and another beef chow fun because it was so good. I'm from Philly and having a Chinatown nearby has always been a blessing but this is the first time since I've moved here where every dish reminded me of some of my fave Chinatown spots with equal quality and delivery of flavors. I recommend this restaurant for its authenticity and being attentive of authentic Cantonese cuisine. I wouldn't do take out because part of the experience was tasting everything right out of the kitchen. Noodle or deep fried dishes would be absorb more moisture during takeout but that's personal preference.

Nestled in an unassuming Annandale plaza, Miu Kee is a hidden gem for all who seek the magic of genuine Cantonese cuisine. Stepping into this restaurant is like stepping into a portal to Hong Kong, the air alive with the fragrant sizzle of stir-fries and the comforting murmur of Cantonese chatter. My recent visit was an absolute delight, earning Miu Kee a well-deserved 5-star rating. The extensive menu is a testament to the restaurant's dedication to culinary authenticity. From familiar favorites to lesser-known specialties, Miu Kee caters to both adventurous and traditional palates. I opted for the classic two-item BBQ plate, featuring the iconic duo of char siu (BBQ pork) and siu yuk (crispy roast pork). While the char siu veered slightly towards the dry side, the siu yuk was pure perfection - shatteringly crisp skin yielding to juicy, flavorful meat. The price might seem a bit steep at first glance, but considering the quality and authenticity, it's a cost I'm more than willing to bear. The stir-fried garlic pea sprouts were a revelation. Cooked to a perfect crispness, they boasted an abundance of fresh garlic and a symphony of vibrant vegetables. The savory broth they swam in was like a warm hug for the palate, a testament to the chefs' mastery of simple yet soul-satisfying flavors. But the pièce de résistance, the dish that transported me back to my childhood, was the crispy pan-fried chow mein with chicken and bean sprouts in gravy. Each bite was a nostalgic explosion - the soft noodles absorbing the rich gravy, the tender chicken adding a savory counterpoint, and the bean sprouts offering a delightful textural contrast. It was a dish that transcended taste and became a memory, a culinary comfort blanket on a plate. The service at Miu Kee was just as impeccable as the food. The staff, friendly and attentive, added to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Miu Kee is not just a restaurant; it's a window into a vibrant culinary culture. The dedication to authenticity, the quality of ingredients, and the masterful execution of traditional Cantonese dishes combine to create an experience that is both delicious and deeply satisfying. So, if you're looking for a taste of Hong Kong in the heart of Northern Virginia, make your way to Miu Kee. You won't be disappointed. My 5-star rating speaks for itself, and I urge you to discover your own Cantonese culinary haven at Miu Kee.

Ordered dinner for takeout at Miu Kee. We ordered a ton of food! Still VERY delicious food but felt it was time to update my review. We ordered beef chow fun, combination fried rice, duck, wonton soup (tons of wontons!), beef and broccoli, Chinese broccoli, and General Tso's chicken. The fried rice was good. The wontons were very good- they were shrimp based (be warned if you have a shrimp allergy). The beef and broccoli was fine. The Chinese broccoli was definitely a great veggie dish and is what you'd expect so no complaints there. The beef chow fun was not very flavorful. It could have used more ... salt? soy sauce? not sure but it was lacking something. The General Tso's chicken had incredibly huge pieces of chicken. Difficult to share and difficult to eat (unless you had a knife?? which I feel is strange for takeout). Just overall not what one expects with General Tso's dish. I'd still recommend as a reliable takeout place. Although it's not a 5-star from me anymore, it's a solid 4-star option for Chinese food.

Fantastic Cantonese food at a very reasonable price. The food never disappoints but the service is hit or miss. Still, I will keep coming back here for several reasons. One, their wonton soup is the best in town. The shrimp and pork wontons are so fresh and the skins is soft and not thick like other wontons. Two, the char siu is flavored just right. And if you get the burnt caramelized edges, it's so sweet and rich. Three, the sweet and sour rib (Hong Kong style). Just try it. It's nothing like the Americanized sweet and sour with the thick breading. It's so good. Finally four, the Young Chow fried rice. They load it up with protein (shrimp, chicken, bbq pork) and it's delicious. I took off one star because the service is just inconsistent. Believe me coz I ate here three days in a row!! Anyway hope you try this place out. You might see me there again
